Date night

Last weekend I went on a first date with a guy I had met at the restaurant I work and even though I normally choose what to wear easily, this time I was saw a challenge in the face of meeting someone who had only seen me in my uniform. I tried to put together an outfit but there was always something that I didn't like about it. Then the day of the said date I just went in front of my closet and started taking out all the things I thought to be inappropriate. When I was left with a couple of dresses it was just so much easier for me to figure out what I wanted to wear. Now you may ask how I ruled out most of my clothes and I will of course explain.
When going on a first date the first thing you need to take into consideration is were are you going and what are you going to be doing. Go to the place were you keep your clothes and accessories. Than start taking out the following items:
-all things SHORT(short skirts, shorts and short dresses)-this is because it is a bit inappropriate especially when you don't know the guy well, you don't want to give the wrong message;
-figure out if you want to go for jeans or a dress - if you want to wear jeans I suggest pairing them with a dressier top rather than a simple t-shirt or sweater.
At the end my biggest advice is: don't go all out. Wear something you will feel comfortable in and most important you will feel confident.
In my country we have a saying that translated literally is something like this: in clothes meet in mind send and means that when you meet people the judge the way you look because the don't know you well but when you spend time and actually get to know you the way you look is not important any more.

Furry coziness

Sometimes the most stylish looking outfits are the simplest ones. Two or three clothing items and the right jewelry can make you stand out. Make it look effortless and chic. For me a maxi dress is a staple in a woman's closet and is a great layering piece. The one I wore is from STRADIVARIUS and I got last winter.

Back to school

The first week of the second semester in my university started this Monday and I don't know why but I feel it's going to be so much fun and so much better than the first one. We already have a ton of new projects and I am so exited.
Anyway, about my school stuff may be some other time, now on to my outfit. I wore this ensemble on Monday: over the knee boots, a pair of black leggings, a white top I got from MANGO two years ago, and a green jacket my mom bought me from a store called HOUSE a couple of weeks ago. I spent the whole day at the university, running errands and trying to find costumes for a short film I am working on and let me tell you I was so comfortable and warm, it's still winter after all.

Winter colors

STRADIVARIUS top in bright orange(and yes, on camera it doesn't show but it is) and a simple purple cardigan (my mom's)

Being sick + freezing temperatures = bright colors!
Now let me break it down for you. For the past week I have been feeling horrible and sick (sad face), when you add the cold and loads of snow outside, what you get is desire for spring, spring equals bright and fun colors, which also turns into a great idea for layering.

Matched

It is sooo sooo cold out. For the past week the temperatures dropped to about 10 to 15 BELOW 0!!! That's why I decided to shoot my outfit this time inside because I can't stay out without 2 sweaters and 2 jackets and not freeze. Yesterday morning I was feeling a little bit matchy matchy and this is what came up with. The sweater is from MANGO and color wise perfectly ties with the boots that I have been wearing probably every day this winter. I added a little accent with the gold bow pin I bought last week. And let me just say when you go shopping and there is a sale look carefully, you never know what you will find. For example, that pin, I have never seen it before the sale that the store has now and I got it for about a dollar.
A simple way to make it look more casual just leave your shirt out so that it shows a bit under the sweater and put your hair in a messy bun.
